History of Novocollege
From a small office in Novosibirsk
to a University of Applied Sciences in the European Union
to a University of Applied Sciences in the European Union
2019
Sergey Chernyshov founded Novocollege in Novosibirsk. It was the first private college in the region. The first intake was 120 students.
2020
The first branch of Novocollege opened in Berdsk. The second intake was 550 students. The college received official Russian state accreditation.
2022
Branches opened in Tomsk, and a private school — Novoshkola — was founded. Novocollege fully transitioned to a Liberal Arts and Sciences education model. The foreign language school "Inotext" also joined Novocollege
2024
Due to growing governmental pressure, Novocollege, Novoshkola, and the language school were forced to close. Some team members went on to establish several independent educational institutions in Russia
2025
Novocollege was registered as a legal entity in Lithuania and is preparing to obtain a state license for higher education as a University of Applied Sciences. It will be the first educational institution to be reborn in the European Union after ceasing operations in Russia

Novocollege was founded in 2019 in Russia. From 2025, it operates in Lithuania as a registered European Union educational institution with the right to award higher education diplomas (Professional Bachelor's degree).
This is a term from Lithuanian law, meaning an educational institution offering higher education programs leading to a Professional Bachelor's degree.
It is a type of first-level higher education degree in Lithuania and the EU. The programs usually last three years and lead to a higher education diploma. With this diploma, you can work in your specialty across the EU and in most countries worldwide. However, to apply for a Master's degree, you may need an additional year of study to obtain an "Academic Bachelor's" degree.
Learning takes place in intensive two-week sessions four times a year — perfect for balancing studies, career, and life, and a chance to escape to the beautiful resort city of Klaipėda by the Baltic Sea.
Between sessions, learning is conducted online. Webinars are scheduled, but recordings are available if you can't attend live. Through your personal account, you can always discuss complex topics with teachers or tutors — consultations are included. After enrollment, you receive access to your personal account with audio, video, and text lectures. Practical knowledge is gained through online seminars and video conferences.
As a result, you acquire no fewer skills than through traditional full-time study — but in a much more flexible format.

Two-week sessions take place four times a year. However, if you live far away or cannot travel (for example, due to visa issues), you can attend sessions online.
A personal account will be created for you, with an intuitive system for interacting with all participants in the learning process. The platform allows you to attend lectures and webinars live, watch recordings, ask teachers questions, access materials, and consult with tutors and administrators. You can also take tests and exams through it.
If you previously studied a similar specialty and did not complete your education, you may be able to shorten the study period. This is decided individually.
Yes, it’s possible. You will just need to complete a diploma recognition process according to EU regulations.

According to Lithuanian law, you will receive a European-standard higher education diploma, granting the qualification of a "Professional Bachelor" in your chosen field.
To apply, you need to submit an application form, a contract (two- or three-party, depending on the applicant's age), passport scans (photo and registration pages), and your educational document (diploma or school certificate).
